Get NZ writing!

Room ten took part in a nationwide writing activity this term. We had to complete a poster all about our class and school and write a metaphor to describe ourselves on the back of a postcard. The coloured postcards made a poster once fixed together.  We have to post all this to Tauranga Intermediate.  They have done the same activities and we are looking forward to receiving our package soon!

Because there were 32 postcards and only 28 children in class, the children chose to write metaphors for Mrs Fearon, Mrs Williams, Mr Campbell and Mr Larkin too.  For example, Mr Larkin is a tow truck who carries the school on his back.  Very apt.  Ask your child what metaphor they wrote about themselves. They were very creative.
